How can I see how much data I am storing?

Click here and type in your username and password and press Submit to see how much data you are storing on our servers. You can also see how much you are storing via the confirmation emails that we send you after each backup.

How can I increase my storage allocation?

Depositit is fully automated and scalable and when you require additional storage this will be provided automatically for you.

How can I reduce my storage level?

To reduce the amount of storage you have on our servers you need to remove some of the folders you have selected to backup.

  • Open Depositit software and highlight the backup that you wish to reduce.
  • Drill down the '+' signs on the right hand side and deselect the ticks from the folders that you do not wish to backup
  • Click 'SAVE' to save the changes.

Please note that any files/folders that you remove from the backup will drop off our servers after a full Backup Cycle has completed.

For example, if the Backup Cycle in the software is set to 30, this means it will take 30 backups from the time you have removed the data before this data drops off our servers and your storage levels will reduce.

I deleted files but my storage hasn't reduced?

Please note that any files/folders that you remove from the backup will drop off our servers after a full Backup Cycle has completed.

For example, if the Backup Cycle in the software is set to 30, this means it will take 30 backups from the time you have removed the data before this data drops off our servers and your storage will reduce. You can speed this up, by reducing the backup cycle, running a backup and then increasing the backup cycle back to what it was.

My storage increases when I am adding little data?

If you are backing up a database file or emails these tend to increase in size after each backup.

To remedy, open the Depositit software, reduce the Backup Cycle to 5 and click SAVE to save the changes.
