BACKUP
Introduction to backing up
- Open the Depositit software by going to Start > Programs > Depositit > Backup and Restore. Alternatively you can double click the Depositit padlock icon on your desktop
- Files and folders are saved in definitions so that you can keep things such as accounts and client records separate. Alternatively you can save all your data in one definition if you prefer. It depends on how you like to be organised. When you create your definitions, these will be listed in the left hand window.
The right hand window will display all the drives connected to your computer and/or network. The hard drive is usually referred to as the C drive and you should be familiar with the general layout of this directory structure as it is similar to most other Windows-based programs.
When you first open the software, this window will be empty.
