BACKING UP DATABASE FILES
Disclaimer:
The following advice is based on our knowledge and experience of backing up database files.
We are not the authors of these programs and do not answer questions related to these products.
Our customer support team will only deal with questions concerning the backup and restore process relating to Depositit.
For additional advice on backing up these files, please refer to the Help files within the application.
When backing up databases, please follow the standard backup procedure, details of which can be found at here
- Create a new definition (called database)
- Select the database you wish to backup
- Confirm the time and frequency you wish to backup the database
IMPORTANT NOTES:
- When backing up databases Depositit strongly recommends reducing the 'Backup Cycle' to between 1-7 depending on the size of your database
- You may need to close down your database prior to backing up as Depositit does not backup open files.
