DEPOSITIT
1. Established - set up in 1999, Depositit has been used for many years by 1000's of companies of every size around the world. Regardless of whether you are a single home worker or run the IT dept for a large company we can help.
2. Developed - we do not sell 3rd party backup solutions. The Depositit software is our own, which means we developed it, understand it, and can help customers quickly when required.
3. Secure - Depositit takes the security of your files more seriously than any other company in the world!
We are the only backup service that encrypts files to 448-bit and automatically backs them up to 3 separate secure locations. Furthermore we are registered with the Data Protection Registrar and have a "Business Continuity Agreement" in place that should anything happen to us, our service will continue to run for at least 6 months.
4. Flexible - Our software backs up Laptops, Desktops and Servers (inc Exchange/SQL). It will backup Windows, Vista, Mac and Linux. You can add multiple machines or networked drives to your account for free and it doesn't matter if you have a combination of different machines, i.e Mac's and Windows or laptops and servers you can back them all up under a single account.
5. Trust - Depositit is trusted by thousands of businesses around the world and is endorsed by organisations such as AIG Insurance, Federation Against Software Theft, The Chartered Institute of Public Relations and the UK Police Federations amongst others.

OTHERS
There are many companies providing automated off-site backup and at first glance we all look exactly the same, however there are differences that might not seem obvious at first. Low cost consumer solutions, such as BT:
1. Generally only backup to a single server, which is very risky. Servers crash and require frequent maintenance, so these low cost services could be 'out of action' quite often which means you won't be able to backup or restore when you need to.
2. May be offering a 3rd party solution and not able to support the service very well.
3. Limit the file size that you can backup, so if you have large database files you might not be able to store these properly.
4. Some companies over write your data after every backup, so if you have an accident and go to restore your files they may not be available for you!
5. Some only allow you to restore one file at a time or make you restore in Zip files, which can be complicated, messy and long-winded.
6. Most won't allow the backup of Macs, multiple machines, networked drives or allow you to create different backup sets (i.e you have to backup everything at once).

Testimonials
"I lost all my data when my new computer crashed. Fortunately I managed to get myself up and running on an old computer while the new one was being repaired. I was very pleased that within a couple of minutes of restoring, I was able to carry on working."
