Product Overview

Depositit is Europe's leading provider of fully automated, offsite data backup and storage solutions for businesses.

The service offers the most secure way to automatically backup and restore computer files for Windows, Mac and Linux users. It takes just 15 minutes to set up an account - just register, download the software onto your PC, Laptop or Server and select the files you wish to backup.

Every day at the scheduled time Depositit encrypts your files and saves them to 3 separately located secure data centres.

Restoring files is a simple 3 click process and can be carried out 24/7 by opening the software and selecting the restore tab.

Solid Foundations

Depositit's proprietary software systems have been developed in association with Formal Software Construction Limited (FSC).

FSC provides advanced software solutions and associated professional services across market sectors (including space, CAE, financial retail and health) in the UK, Europe and North America. Founded in 1992, FSC is certified to ISO-9001 2008/TickIT by Lloyds Register Quality Assurance.

Hosting and management of the Depositit service is provided by our equity partners Lbi. LBIcon is a publicly listed Internet and Web services company with 26 offices across the globe. They recently merged with Framfab and are the largest & leading company in their sector within Europe, with a market capitalization of over £200 million. Their customers include Barclays, Boots, Pfizer, Corus, Warner Bros and VW amongst others.

Security

Depositit provides the highest level of data security in the world.

Security and data protection are at the core of the Depositit service. Our unique server architecture replicates data to a minimum of 3 geographically and commercially independant data centres and IP providers that are monitored 24 hours a day.

All of our data centres benefit from full UPS power protection and back up generators with constant monitoring 24 hours a day. The data centre is operationally equipped using water free fire suppressant systems, climate and moisture content control.

Depositit security protocols are designed to be compliant with ISO 17799.

Security is further enhanced with the use of 448-bit blowfish encryption, which is endorsed by the US Military and ensures that data cannot be accessed by anyone besides the account holder. In addition we do not hold any record of customer passwords and all payment card/financial information is held securely by WorldPay, a service provided by the Royal Bank of Scotland.

Mission

Large corporations have been using remote backup services for many years, however small to medium sized businesses have more limited IT budgets and generally can not afford highly sophisticated backup systems.
